We didn't invent them, we just love them
High top Chuck Taylors. Virtually the only shoe we use to squat and pull in. With their flat sole, one can stay in constant contact with the ground and the rolling of the ankles are neutralized by high tops and not having any 'gel' or 'impact' insoles (we're not olympic lifting).
