HOW TO MEASURE

All measurements above are taken from the garment laid flat. To compare against a shirt you already own and love, lay it flat on a hard surface and measure with a tape.

Body Length

From the highest point of the shoulder seam straight down to the bottom hem.

Chest Width

One inch below the armhole, measured straight across from edge to edge. Garment laid flat, not doubled.

Sleeve Length

From the center back of the collar, across the shoulder seam, all the way down to the sleeve cuff.

Shoulder Width

From the outer edge of one shoulder seam straight across to the outer edge of the other.

Inseam

From the crotch seam straight down the inside of the leg to the bottom of the hem.

Waist

Across the top of the waistband, edge to edge. Double the number for full waist circumference.

Tolerance is the acceptable variance per garment. A "+/- 1" tolerance means the actual measurement can be up to one inch over or under the listed size.

43 minutes. MP4 download. Presented by Mac McFarland.

Mac McFarland brings eight years in the Marine Corps infantry, a background in boxing, and years coaching wrestlers to this session. It is the most practical talk in the collection, built for a sport that has no offseason.

Mac explains why wrestling lives across the entire force velocity curve, from the maximal grind of a tie up to the explosive shot, and why a strength class sport with year round competition needs a system that keeps athletes ninety percent ready all the time. He shares the three day template Westside uses with its pro athletes, adapted for wrestlers, the readiness handshake he uses the moment an athlete walks in, why you chase the stimulus and not the PR, the volume per minute metric that turns a workout into data, and the power of an educated training group where athletes start coaching each other. He is direct about the common coaching errors that get high school athletes hurt.

If you coach wrestling, jiu jitsu, or any combat sport, this session speaks your language.

Inside this session

  • Wrestling demands across the force velocity curve
  • Training a sport with no offseason
  • The three day template, max effort lower, max effort upper, combined dynamic day
  • The readiness handshake and reading your athletes
  • Chasing the stimulus, not the PR
  • The volume per minute metric
  • Grip and posterior chain work for wrestlers
  • Keeping max effort in season, and the common coaching errors to avoid

Best for: high school wrestling coaches, wrestling parents, and combat sport coaches.

Note: this is an MP4 file only.
