The Purple Set is the lightest tension option in the Squat + Bench Pro Band line and built for those who want accommodating resistance with a fast, repeatable setup.

  • Best for: speed bench, speed squat, technique work and deload weeks
  • Even tension: balanced loading left-to-right so you’re not fighting one side more than the other.
  • Three-point setup: attach the same way every time, faster setup, fewer variables.
  • Snap-resistant build: designed for real training environments.

Important: This is BANDS ONLY. Anchors / carabiners / attachment hardware are not included.

Purple Band Tension (Westside Setup)

Numbers below are shown per band / per side. To calculate total tension at the top, add both sides together.

  • Squat: 65 lbs per side (130 lbs total)
  • Bench: 20 lbs per side from band pegs (40 lbs total) 
Measure Your Exact Band Tension (Recommended)

Rack height, peg height, and lockout distance change tension. To measure your setup:

  1. Slide the end loops of the band over your band pegs (or secure anchors).
  2. Hook a luggage/fish scale into the middle loop (the loop that sits on the barbell sleeve).
  3. Raise the scale to your lockout height to read tension for your exact setup.

How to Set Up (30 seconds)

  1. Slide the middle loop over the barbell sleeve.
  2. Pull each end loop down to your band pegs (or secure anchors).
  3. Match both sides, then lift.
Simple Dynamic Effort Wave (Example)

Keep band tension consistent and wave bar weight over 3 weeks.

  • Week 1: 50% bar weight + band tension
  • Week 2: 55% bar weight + band tension
  • Week 3: 60% bar weight + band tension
