I have been using the Explosive Strength Development for Jumping to train my son and I have a few questions.
How does one incorporate all the different components of the book on a day per week basis? Is GPP a daily activity? How many times per week should plyometrics be done? I've done a version of a Westside program in the past. We did a dynamic day and a max effort day with our exercises. Is the jumping program supposed to be broken up that way?
GPP can be done 4 times a week.
Put 40 jumps on Max Effort day and 40 jumps on the Dynamic Effort day. Switch the types of jumps around, use ankle weights, a weight vest, and kettle bells. Keep records to be sure to rotate. Don't jump off boxes above 24 inches. Hope this helps!
